Day 1: visit Bellagio – Varenna
If you are at the lake even just for a few days, you absolutely cannot miss a visit to the most famous villages: Bellagio and Varenna!
Starting from the northwestern corner of the lake, the easiest and most convenient way to get there is to drive to Cadenabbia and leave your car in one of the parking lots near the ferry dock.
This way you can take the ferry on foot and easily reach both Bellagio and Varenna.
We recommend doing it this way because it is very difficult to find free parking in either Bellagio or Varenna, and if you take the boat or hydrofoil you would have to take longer trips with many more stops. With the ferry, however, you can go directly to Varenna and Bellagio without other detours or stops in between.

Day 2 excursion
In the mountains around the Lake you will find numerous trails that will take you to places where you can enjoy breathtaking views, so why not immediately think about which excursion is right for you?
You can choose between very simple and short routes if you want to take it easy, or if you are passionate (and more trained) you can do several excursions that will keep you busy for the whole day!
The choice is yours alone, the only thing I can assure you, regardless of the length and difficulty of the route, is that you will say it was worth it!
Here you can find lots of ideas for routes for your excursion.

Day 3 beach and relaxation
For the past few days I have suggested some demanding activities, so I think it's only fair to think about relaxing and resting a bit.
On hot summer days, what could be better than a day at the beach, between a swim in the lake, a cocktail, and sunbathing?
If, on the other hand, you are thinking of coming to the lake during a cooler period, it might be a great idea to spend the day at the Bormio thermal baths or in a spa!
