Greenway of Lake Como

c85fb3c9-ca20-4004-a138-5c22ba2b02e0

The Greenway of Lake Como is a walk of about 10km that connects Colonno with Cadenabbia, following the "Antica Strada Regina", away from the traffic of roads traveled by vehicles. These paths, accessible only on foot or by bicycle, pass through characteristic villages, providing panoramic views of the lake and the surrounding mountains.

During this walk you will pass through seven villages: starting from Colonno and passing through Sala Comacina, Ossuccio, Lenno, Mezzegra, Tremezzo, and finally arriving at Cadenabbia. The route takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes, but you will surely choose to extend this time by stopping to explore the many points of interest along the way. In fact, you can go down to Sala Comacina to visit the island, reachable by boat taxi, stop in Lenno to see Villa Balbianello up close, or stop in Tremezzo to take a tour of the gardens of Villa Carlotta, one of the most beautiful and well-known residences on the lake for its architecture and botanical garden.
